Thanks for the web memories

It is not until you start looking around the Milton Keynes Wargames Society Website that you fully appreciate the outstanding job Ian Stewart has done.

Many hours have been spent originating, collating, and presenting the information on the site. As with any of us foolhardy enough to become involved administering, promoting or organising a voluntary activity, you are not fully appreciated until you stop. The MKWS website was solely instigated by Ian Stewart, and I have to personally thank him for opening my eyes to the potential of the inter-web-thingy. I continue to wrestle with the inter-web-thingy (I think I’m loosing); but the value of this web site to both the club and to a lesser extend the hobby is most significant.

Sadly Ian has found it increasingly difficult to maintain the site and have a life. Such is the workload that I have had to recruit two people to take the site forward. Will Denham has taken on the roll of Web Editor / Webmaster and Paul Newnham is in the engine room changing the oil, tightening the nuts, and changing the flat tyres. I am sure that under their stewardship the website will continue to flourish. The content and presentation may change, but the high standards set by Ian’s work will remain a Bench Mark against which they will be measured. Thanks Ian.
